when i use MXQ_PRO_rtl8188.img and the licence, no keys appear the USB flashing tool. But when i do the same with MXQ-PRO_ENT.img keys appear.
The unit flashes OK But it gets stuck on the “MXPRO” loading screen.
I have a 8188 WiFi chip.
Any ideas?

Como puedo actualizar mi mxq pro 4K 5.1
Hi, I didn’t have a chip with that image on it so I used the MXQ_4K_2017 and the burn tool. Had to change license, un-tick one of the boxes to get past USB issue, work around error at 94% issue and then the burn completed. I disconnected it and then pressed stop. Now it won’t go at all. No led lights. Tried to reconnect to PC but gets stopped on USB issue at 2%. Is the unit now completely broken, or can it be saved. Thanks

Hello. I have a MXQPRO which has a rockchip in it, a RK3228A. I have lifted the mobo and heatsink to check but cannot see an image attachment on here Is anyone please able to help me root this box. It’s currently running out the box fimware, 7.1 android. It’s a bare minimal box with 1GB ram and 8GB storage. I’m wondering if I can do anything fancy with it. I’m having problems with updating my MXQ PRO 4K I brought this box from amazon back in Aug. 2016, it worked fine no problems for a year until I put it for about 8 mouths out of being use just recently went to use it not allowing me to open up any movies on KODI or YOUTUPE and MOBDRO so I figure it need to be updated because it’s telling me to update time and date even when on the top right corner of home screen clearly I’m seeing the correct time and date. My mxq stopped working the reset button so I ignored the error and bootloader and took the cable and relocated without stopping or closing the program for my surprise started the transfer process and concluded, now I have a functional and rooted tvbox I’m very happy 😜😁😁
I removed and replaced the USB cable from the bottom of the tvbox without stopping the program process.

You should install the drivers and connect to the usb port on the back of the CPU and usb on the back of the tvbox just so the PC recognizes.😸

I selected English when installing the burning tool and it is Chinese when opened. Doesnt help at all

burning tool detects the USB device “connect successful”
after 17 sequence in the recovery mode, somehow the connection get’s lost and stops the recovery process

load the firmware first into the USB Burning Tool
Click Start (don’t install the USB cable into the box)
Hold the rest button located inside the AV port, then connect the power and the USB cable. (HOLD the reset button the whole time) You will need a pen or pin to push in the reset button as in the image bellow.
Connect your MXQ 4K to your PC with a USB to USB also connect the power cable.
You can now release the reset button as the device should now be in recovery mode.
This keeps turning off my computer instantly when I connect the USB. So I am able to fix my box because my computer won’t stay on! My box will not load up. Blue light comes on but never shows a logo or connects to the tv.

I have a MXQ Pro box with version 5.1.1, I’ve loaded the APP ES File Explorer and manager but cannot seem to get to the root directory of the box to see files. In the ES APP, I can’t seem to find the allow ROOT to be visible enable button. The remote is not working properly and I’m trying to follow instruction on changing the remote config file but can’t because I cannot even see the ECT directory where the existing file needs to be deleted and changed to one of the other remote files to try. Can you help me out at all? I do have QuickSupport on the box but understand if you don’t do this kind of support. I find it easier to FTP from my computer into the box and delete the remote file that way and copy the new config file but I have the same issue on the computer, I cannot see any root files or folder on the box!
